The Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan informs that during the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yong to the Republic of Tajikistan on July 16-17, 2019, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of construction and restoration of forests between the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Forest Service of the Republic of Korea was signed by mutual agreement.
Simultaneously with the implementation of this Memorandum, the "grant program of the Republic of Korea for the implementation of cooperation projects in the field of forestry between the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Forest Service of the Republic of Korea" was signed by the parties in December 2019.
Currently, within the framework of this grant program, funded by the Korean Forest Service, the project "reforestation and improvement of the welfare of the population in the Republic of Tajikistan" is being implemented.
